Changing Lives, One Story at a Time
Hear from the individuals and families who’ve experienced the impact of Zaytuna Foundation’s initiatives
When the lockdown started, all work stopped. I had no money, and feeding my family became impossible. That’s when Zaytuna Foundation came to our area with ration kits — rice, dal, oil, and atta. Those supplies helped us survive those tough weeks when we had nothing at home.

During COVID-19 Lockdown
My husband lost his job during COVID and we had no income for months. Zaytuna Foundation gave us food kits more than once — every time we were almost out of supplies. Their ration help was the only reason my children didn’t sleep hungry

I was addicted to drugs for almost three years. My family had lost hope in me. Through Zaytuna Foundation, I got a chance to attend their counselling and recovery sessions. The team treated me with patience and respect. I’ve been clean for over a year now and even started working again. It feels like I’ve got my life back.

The volunteers from Zaytuna Foundation come to our area and teach small children about cleanliness, manners, and respect. My kids enjoy sitting with them, colouring and learning new things. They have become more disciplined and even remind me to wash hands before eating!

I drive my rickshaw till late night, and in winter the cold wind makes it very hard to work. I had only one thin sweater which was torn. Zaytuna Foundation came one morning and gave me a warm jacket and blanket. Now I can continue my work without falling sick. It really helped in a tough time.

In winter, I work at construction sites early in the morning. The cold is unbearable, and I didn’t have a proper jacket. Zaytuna Foundation came and gave warm clothes and blankets to people like us. That jacket is still the only one I have — it helps me go to work every day without freezing.

For months, my eyesight was getting weaker because of cataract, and I couldn’t afford an operation. When Zaytuna Foundation held a free eye camp in our area, they arranged my surgery and medicines too. Now I can see clearly again. I thank them every day in my prayers
