Eye camps – free cataract operation

At Zaytuna Foundation, community health and well-being are paramount, and they actively organize impactful eye testing camps dedicated to serving underserved populations. Recently, a successful eye health camp was skillfully coordinated by Salman Imtiyaz, former president of Aligarh Muslim University Students’ Union (AMUSU), Mustafa Tayyab, along with the committed Zaytuna Foundation team. The event focused on providing comprehensive eye screenings, early detection of vision impairments, and raising awareness about eye health, free of cost to the attendees

This camp enabled hundreds of community members, particularly the underprivileged and elderly, to receive expert eye examinations, consultation, and guidance from medical volunteers. Special emphasis was placed on addressing common eye issues like cataracts, refractive errors, and glaucoma, and timely referrals for advanced treatments were also arranged. In addition to medical testing, educational sessions on maintaining good eyesight and preventive care were conducted, aiming to empower individuals with knowledge to safeguard their vision.

The involvement of respected leaders like Salman Imtiyaz and Mustafa Tayyab lent strong credibility, enthusiasm, and reach to this campaign, making it a shining example of collaborative community service. Through such thoughtfully planned health initiatives, Zaytuna Foundation reaffirms its commitment to nurturing, educating, and reviving humanity — reaching those most in need with compassion, dignity, and expert care. These camps not only enhance the quality of life by preventing avoidable blindness but also inspire hope and brighter futures for entire communities.
